something to read... go onto the Signature Vacations site, select "Travel Info" in the tabs, then click on the "before you go" link, scroll down to the bottom of this page, and click on the "Travel Warnings". You will find an alphbet, where if you click on the "D" it will take you to all the countries that start with a D, the Dominican Republic is listed there. read the information, you can check the safety issues concerning just about any country from this site. You may want to read this before you send your young teenage children off for a nite of drinking and dancing. You will find the DR is safe compared to many countries. Compare it to countries you have been to, you may be surprised by what you find. Be careful about letting your teenage children do anything more then what you would do at home. Hi Shelobern

Yes the birth certificates do have to be full birth certificates which are a little more expensive. It has to have the details of your parents at birth which is only included on the full birth certificate and not the short one. hope this helps

We had a similar problem a couple years ago, frantically waiting for our passports as our departure date got closer and closer. I contacted our local MP's office and they were able to assist us in getting it back quickly. Worth the phone call.

There should be a prize for the 1000th post. 15 more days to go, can't wait for the beach, especially after the blizzard they are predicting for here today

Default shopping

Hi,

I keep forgetting to mention that you should go shopping at the Orange Market on the beach. When you step onto the beach turn left and walk up. You will see the stalls. You can really bargain here. It was a great place to buy t shirts, golf shirts and jewellery. They will take US or pesos.

Question everyone,

On our Edocs its mentions this:

Departs: PUERTO PLATA (POP) at 12:10
Via SAMANA (AZS)
Arrives: TORONTO (YYZ) at 16:30

Does this mean that we have to travel to Samana to leave the dominican? if so, how far away is it?

I'm confused.

Help ...
