Driving directions
I will be driving from Juan Dolio to Samana soon and I am looking for suggestions on a good route to take.
The obvious route would be to go up through Santiago, past Puerto Plata and along the coast to Samana. That is fine but I am seeing on the map a potential alternative going north through Monte Plata.
Has anyone gone this route? Does it exist? How are the roads? Would it be any faster than driving around the long way (i.e. through Santiago>Pueto Plata...)
