Santo Domingo to Cabarete thru Moca OKAY??

I'm heading to Cabarete from the capital tomorrow.

Does anyone have information about whether or not the Moca Trail is okay to drive through? I'd really prefer not having to go through Santiago.

You may want to find out first how that strip of highway is, when leaving the Autopista Duarte at La Vega to go North to Moca.
Last time i was there, a car like mine, couldn't even go through, so I had to go further on up the highway to the next Moca cutoff.
And as Wendy mentioned, the road through the mountains is quite nice.

no no no, just after where you have a toll booth, look for a construction site where they are building an overpass and make a right turn....you will go right into moca....just travelled that today
