Default urgent info needed

Hi my name is Pavlina, want to know several things : some boutiques in Punta Cana from casual to chic : My hotel charges me dollars, shall I first buy dolllars here and than pay in DR with dollars or is paying directly in Euros better ? Is there helicopter service that proposes tour around the island ? Is there any limousine service in Punta Cana. What is the best club to go to ?
Thank you so much for your help. Pavlina

I have a feeling that you have absolutely no idea of the area you will be staying in. Boutiques that are chic? If you find one please let us know. Most hotels have at least one good clothing shop. Limousines to go clubing in? Your not in NY! Get a local taxi and then tell us where these great clubs are located. Most people party on thier resort where the booze is free. Helicopter rides - Yes, they are available for site seeing. Change your euros to pesos for local shopping, or use US$. This is not a big city that you are going to. It is a beach resort area far from any city life. Enjoy the sun and have fun.

The island is much bigger than you might think. I doubt that a helicopter could even tour the entire island on a tank of gas.
The circumference of ths island must be over 800 miles.

As well as the boutiques inside hotels and resorts, there is an upscale shopping centre at Punta Cana Village near the airport, with chic boutiques including Oscar de la Renta, who is a 'local'. There is another shopping centre called Plaza Bávaro.

Helidosa do helicopter rides, although as Rocky says, they are likely to be limited to the Punta Cana area or commuter trips to other parts of the island.

Dollars are probably better than euros.

Sorry, can't help with the other questions.

Enjoy your visit!

I would have to venture with the clientel that goes to Punta Cana, there are absolutely Limousines available!!!!

that is one area of the island I have yet to go to, but of all my friends that have gone there..they all seem to have just stayed local to their resort or the one right next door!

the helidosa helicopter service is nice...I have rented them...they can go anywhere you want if you pay. they will take you over the whole island.
The only place they would not take me was to the top of Pico Duarte...he said the weather is too unstable up there.

it is all a matter of paying by the hour.

They will stop at any of the local airports to refuel if need be.
When we rented they stopped at POP while we weres till on board to refuel!

I wonder also of the Great night life available in PUNTA CANA..seems with resortsd in that area pushing peopel to stay on site, that few places would get much of the tourist clientel...if so we might have heard about it at least some!!!

I am not an expert in exchange rates, but it seems everytime you exchange you take a hit...so exchanging twice seems twice as bad.....

Hopefully you might get some more info along those lines....as to the benefit of euros vs dollars.

but it wont hurt to walk around with Pesos...you are covered for sure that way..

is posting from France, she obviously doesnt have a clue about Punta Cana or the DR.

I have never seen a limosine in the general PUJ area, maybe there are some in the Cap Cana area.

She should buy US$ before coming to PUJ
