Public trasports in DR
I am going to DR for a 20 days trip next August, I want to visit Punta Cana, Samana, Santo Domingo and Bayahibe using public trasports (Caribe/metro for long distances and gua guas/motochonco for local trips). I just have a doubt: I read on the lonely planet and on this amazing forum that gua guas work between 8 and 17/18 every day. This means that after 6 p.m. there no other option other then taxi (which seem to be expensive???)??? For instance, I read that the last gua gua from las galeras beaches to Samana city leaves at 5 p.m....what else after that time???
Please tell me smtg about that on your experience...
