Best AI resort in Playa Dorada

Hi,

Im heading down to Puerto Plata and trying to decide where me and my buddies should stay.

We want to stay in the Playa Dorada area.

Our priorities in terms of fun are as below

1.) Near The Clubs
2.) Near The Casinos
3.) Party atmosphere (Younger)

We'd like it to be walking distance from Coco Bongo's

We chose Playa Dorada because of its proxmity to both ends of the area , Sosua and North Puerto Plata.

Iberostar is booked up, so is Blue Bay.

Please help as we need to book this trip this week!

We recently stayed at Viva Wyndham, and while the hotel is ok, the atmospehere wasn't that great. No younger people, really, quite a few families and loads and loads of kids (especially on the weekends)
Unfortunately, I don't know the othe resorts..

If you cant stay at the better ones, just stay anywhere in playa dorada i mean walking to everything is pretty much a given......

I called again, and looks like I will be able to get rooms at the BlueBay.

Any opinions?

We decided to book at the BlueBay.

There is a great deal goign on, 40% off and this hotel has good ratings in the playa dorada area.

Adults only is a plus!

Were going with a large group of guys, 17 of us for a bachelor party.

Itenerary

Thursday - Relax at the Resort and Get Drunk in the Pool, Spend time at the casino's and then head off to the club zone. We've been to Cancun, and were not expecting the same atmosphere but as long as its fun were game.

Friday - WaterSport/ATV riding. Then trek Out to Sosua, Hit some restaurants, local bars and clubs. Maybee a strip club if theres a good one people recommend.

Saturday - Check out Ocean World, Hit the Casino's and Strip Clubs around Puerto Plata. Clubbing all night and dont plan to Sleep

Sunday - Some early morning pool time, brunch and were back to NYC.

If anyone has other suggestions i'd luv to hear.

Also, were probably goign to look for a guide and a van of some sorts to lug us around.. Please send me any numbers/info you may suggest

I dont think you picked the right resort for 17 guys going away for a bachelor party. Yes its adults only......but it seems more fit for couples.........the flowing drapes, the beds on the beach and on resort, more like a spa type resort. I hope you dont end up getting it shyt, and having people complain, because you want to party.

Hmm.. I can cancel the rooms if you feel strongly about it.

So whats a better spot for a group like ours? Is the Grand Venetian the best bet?

Reading the reviews from tripadvisor, it sounds like its goign to be alot of fun. I've seen post of guys staying there for a bachelor party.

Most of the partying will be outside the resort!

We just wanted a nice place with good food, entertainment, and no kids!

Sure, we'll be up all night but, it wont be in the hotel!
