Price of Cigarettes in DR

I am traveling to the DR in July and was just wondering what the price of cigarettes are going for their now. Thank you.

As you can see from the answers received the actual price will vary based on the Dominican-ness or gringo-ness (are those real words?) of the area in question. For Punta Cana you can probably add a bit to the Sosua pricing and for hotel gift shops - double that.

100 pesos for Malboro in the Capital. 110 pesos in the outskirts.

If you are not coming here until July, I commend you for your research well in advance of your trip.

Most resort area around Punta Cana tourists pay $4 US.

I bring mine from Canada for less than $2 off the rez, as I do not like the taste of Dominican cigarettes
