Default baby item rentals

In February 2010, I will be visiting for 3 weeks my father who lives near Caberete. I have 2 kids and will need to rent/borrow/buy car seats and a playpen, as I'd prefer not to travel with all of them. Does anyone have any idea where to start? I haven't been able to find anything online. I would prefer not to buy them. Thanks!

Hi,
I have three kids, one 7 months old, well as far as I know, there is no where to rent those things here.I would not sugest that you plan on buying them here,as everything is triple in price as compared to the states. The car seat is free item on most carriers,I always fly Jetblue and they are great about it.The playpen however would be a checked item,If they have the same policy,Jetblu lets you check one free bag,and I can't remember the airline, but there is one taht still lets you check 2 bags free.Make sure you get a mosquito net for the playpen. My baby sleeps in a arms reach portable crib, small and very compact,I love it!

When we brought our grandson last year the car seat was free on American Airlines. We also brought along a PackNPlay because they close up small - and we saw 3 other ones on the luggage carousel, so that's the way to go. When our DR family members had babies, we brought down almost everything from here for them because baby items are very expensive there (and not as great a selection).
