Default Trip Report! Jack Tar Village

I was at the Jack Tar Village by Puerto Plata from Jan. 18-25th. It was Awesome! The only bad thing is it rained a couple days while we were there so that kind of sucked. But they always had games going on or something to keep you entertained while it rained.

All the people there were great! The food was really good too. I really don't see how you could go hungry there? One night we even ordered pizza from pizza hut. Just wanted some pizza and see if it was the same as in the US. It was. The grounds were always clean. We also felt really safe in the resort.

There was one time we were in the hotel room just watching tv and had the door locked and deadbolted. Well all of a sudden we heard someone trying to unlock our door without knocking or saying anything. He got the doorknob unlocked but not the deadbolt. Then we heard whoever it was just take off and leave. But we always had our things locked up anyways when we weren't in the room and had our valuables in the safe.

All in all the trip was fabulous and I wouldn't hesitate to go again. We had a wonderful time and the nightly entertainment was great.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip! We stay up the road at the Coral Marien but enjoy going down to the Casino at Jack Tar. I have always felt as safe and secure in the D.R. as I feel at home. One of the reasons we keep going back, plus the great Dominican people!

Glad to hear you had a great vacation, Duketter! It's also nice to hear that Jack Tar Village is still a great place to stay. The staff really are key to that place. A really amazing bunch!

Thanks for sharing!
