Wink Recent Visit & help

10 of us recently visited the DR and stayed in Sosua in the Casa Marina Reef, which was fantastic and has great facilities for children. We went out every night and found the locals to be extremely friendly and adopted a few of the bars as our 'Local' for the time we were there. JJ's and the Brittania were our favourites as well as PJ's and we went to Eddy's to watch the football on two occasions. It was the best holiday we have ever had thanks to the people there, and we are looking forward to meeting up with them again next year.

We are thinking of going back in June next year, but without the children, and are wanting to go self-catering as we could not believe how cheap it is to eat and drink in the town. We would appreciate any suggestions as to where to stay, there will be about 6 of us and prefer to stay as near to the town as possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions for cheap flights from the UK?

Also, if anyone is near PJ's could you pop in and say hello to Pedro (we called him Donny, because he looks like Donny Osmond) he works nights, and gave us his e-mail address but he must have wrote it down wrong as it keeps bouncing back. Tell him James, Andy and Trish say hello.

Default Good Post James

You can try Condos Dominicanos which are run by Eddy...

Really happy if you had a good time.

Not sure what you mean by "cheap", but here's what I do when
I go from the UK.

I do one of those last minute things on the net, through sites
like www.air2000.com, www.cheapflights.co.uk,or
www.lastcallflights.co.uk etc. All I do is follow them and as the
day of departure draws near, the price will drop quite nicely. I
know..pretty obvious..

Means cheap flights though. 100£ for two weeks isn't too bad.

Accomodation is also pretty simple, esp. if you know some
people. I live with friends or have them negotiate a price of me.
Went to the southside though, and I rarely do hotels so I
don't know anything about that. When I have, I have just
landed, asked for one and taken a taxi there.

Then again, I'm usually a student and go alone, it might not
work that well for a group of people with jobs.
