Is Secrets Excellence open?

My fiance and I will be traveling to the DR for our honeymoon in a few weeks. We read at http://www.dr1.com/travelnews/status.shtml that Secrets Excellence is closed and they don't know when they will be reopening. Our travel agent said that they would be reopening on Sept. 29. I called the resort and was told that they were already open, just had some minor damage causing some inconveniences for their guests. Is there anyone who has more knowledge of what the real status of Secrets Excellence is?

Who would have more knowledge about whether Secrets was opened than Secrets, you talked to them and they said they were open, every other place says they are closed.
Go figure!
