Thumbs up Bahia Principe Rio San Juan (Sept. 25-Oct. 2)

I had an awesome stay at this hotel. The people are warm and very friendly. The service is amazing and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The room is always kept clean and tidied up. The food is great and a la carte restaurants are amazing especially the mediterranean. The Animacion staff is AMAZING! I salute the team especially Francisco (ciao, ciao, mickey mouse! I LOVE MY JOB!! lol ), Noel, Ivan, Robinson, Victor. They are amazing people full of energy and friendly vibe. They make you feel so at home and welcome. The dancers are extremely talented.

The shows they put on every night is great and you are guaranteed to have fun. So, don't miss any shows! The games are very creative and fun as well. We joined almost every single game and had a kick out of each one. The beach and water aerobics are fun as well.

The night life is great as well which happens about 150 metres away from the hotel (called Pueblo Principe) which is great for those who do not want to be disturbed after 11 p.m. Casino, Disco, Karaoke, souvenir stores, salons are located in here. ALL DRINKS ARE STILL ALL INCLUSIVE!

The beach is not white sand as Puerto Plata is known for the amber sand/brown sand. The excursions are great though! My friend and I went to the Jeep safari and we visited the local people, schools, two beautiful beaches (exquisite beauty!!), waterfalls, a blue lagoon (this is breathtaking!), cocoa and coffee plantation.

Mostly europeans and canadians stayed in this hotel. The people are very friendly. We met so many people and had a great time!

I definitely recommend this resort to anyone.

Default I sense a pattern here

Rave review after rave review of the Bahia Principe resort, invariably from females, who can't say enough about the "animation team". Girlish exchanges on the Sankie forum about the male workers there. Me thinks this place may be the home of the Harvard, Oxford or MIT of Sankie training programs.

I love Rio San Juan, although I've never set foot inside an AI in my life. I've met some of the male dancers from Bahia Principe when they come to kick up their heels in the disco in town in the wee hours of the morning. I've gotta say I was impressed w/some of the moves I saw on the dance floor there, and if their female counterparts at the resort are equally talented, I'd guess the floor show is entertaining.

I would totally agree with you. I stayed at this hotel in August and had an amazing time. I to enjoyed the a la carte restaurants much better than the Las Brisas, (the buffet). The equipo de animacion is fantastic and truly know how to make your vacation very memorable. The hotel is fantastic and would truly recommend anyone to take their holidays at the Bahia Principe San Juan. My friends and I enjoyed it so much that we are already planning our trip back! Glad you had a good time!
