The people of the DR are in heaven and do not realize it. Its a 24 hour vacation there. In Canada we are the SLAVES of the world ( many may disagree with that FACT though).

I made a few trips to Porto Plata and EVERY TIME I turned around there was a guy trying to RIP me OFF !

Taxis, buses, stores, bars, EVERYONE RIPS YOU OFF THERE !

As for posts about safety ....... I DON"T THINK SO ! I was continously watching over my back for a mugger or a nife.

I live in Toronto and this is by no means a safe city any longer. Just down the street roughly 10 houses is Bloor.st. there you will find all the crack heads waiting to couse trouble.

You my friend have no idea what your talking about, but that's ok, many people suffer the same problem, it's called ignorance. Actually, some days Ocean World has had 1000+ people enter their doors, many of them locals (Dominicans).

Why bad mouth something that you never ever looked at, know nothing about or could not afford to visit? I'll take back what I said above, it's called stupidity!

And... your 5 mins of fame are over.

I don't think this "videosilva" should be able to post on this bored.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I know some people have bad experiences..or what they precieve to be bad experiences.

But he is just plan rude and uninformed.I am very sorry he is a Candian, I like to think most Canadians are a little bit more educated and polite then videosilva.

I will agree that the prices are somewhat expensive if you are a big family. But swimming with dolphins...etc. is not an everyday experience. There is an expression...you get what you pay for. Everyone I have spoken to who has went their said it was well worth the money. I have never been inside oceanworld, but have gone up to the giftshop with no problem. Had you been drinking heavily when you went? Possibly the guards did not allow you in for something more along thoes lines.

Unless you are having a bad day..I hope we don't hear too much more from you videosilva....no offense :P
