Thank you Rose. It is however true that too many young ladies go to DR for their dominican boyfriend, and happily I was smart enough not to put myself in trouble... Anna I think I will try to learn that ugly face, must work well, not very good for tips though, but who minds my well-being is more important! Finally, for a little course of geography, a province of Canada named Québec is mostly French, so not from France no

How long have you been tending bar? That 'flirting' is what gets you your tips!!!

No one tips a tender that wears a scowl - even if you are pretty - and you can always busy yourself with some bar chore or another customer and keep 'em where they belong. Nicely.

Sometimes people ARE lonely, just want to feel good, that someone is interested in them - a smile and a bit of conversation goes a long way. Now the dudes that are really greasy - they are a bit more to handle but they can be handled - you will surely find this out once you are a police officer....and once you have a bit more experience dealing with 'em....I had to learn fast at 16.

There's actually a lot of the same skills required in both jobs - to deal with people.....of all sorts.

Don't take that stuff to heart. They just WISH!!!! Keep 'em wishing = more tips.

I wonder if these people that you complained about tipped you. People that work in service here tell me that they could NEVER get a tip from someone from Quebec. Can you tell me if that is true or not?

Thanks[/quote]

Mostly everyone from Quebec tip, english canadians and americans also. those who don't tip are French from France, British (but when they learn to tip, they do great!) and German.
