Hey Robert!!!......Planner just volunteered to buy us drinks.

Just kidding. But if you want to meet up with a few of us. I'm thinking Robert, me and maybe that lovable fuzzball Criss Colon just holler.

Let's just make it a Happy Hour so anyone who is up for it can come. I know just the place.

Default hey Scandall the Great

Last couple of days, people have been talking about your trip report round these parts.

Glad you posted it here, makes me laugh all over again.

I would opt for one of Robert's famous roadtrips over the autopista any day. Just need to pack a few extras in the purse...

1. tent
2. flares
3. water
4. food
5. hiking boots

Sure there's more.

Thanks again! You're the best.

Robert, do you remember our trip way back (way back) to Monti Christi and we took that short-cut :-) by the dam (and we had to turn back and got lost).

Ah, the DR and short-cuts .....

Great story. Reminds me of the time that I drove from Constanza to San Jose de Ocoa on what appeared on the map to be a numbered highway of the Dominican highway system. Beautiful cloud forrest. But the road was intentionally abandoned by Balaguer for environmental reasons. At times, there were drop offs of hundreds of feet on both sides of the road with only inches to clear the wheel track - and no way to turn around! 45 mile trip took all day.

Default Scandall, a request

May I use your bridge photo for a non-fiction piece I did a few weeks ago? Yours and Rob's adventure is part of the story, actually.

Looks like they're going to publish... online, and also a print version for sale on Yahoo.

Will tell more by pm, if you like. I never intended to submit this, btw. Was freewriting because a tale I heard about a shooting victim in SD bothered me and I needed to get it off my chest. Never did a freewrite before, and they asked me. so, kewl, I guess.

Default Ps

btw, I never showed the photo in public-- I sent it to a friend, journalist in US, involved with the editing of this publication. THought it was so KEWL, and one pic is worth a 1000 words.

Guess he thought so too. :)

Default Lol

Mercenaries. But does this man I can use it?

I doubt there'll be a windfall here, but if it buys dinner someday... absolutely. On me.

thanks in advance!! They are waiting word before they go ahead.

pm me your email, hell I've probably got it, but pm it and I'll send you the piece. I can hardly call it a story, it was a bit of rambling on about a murder... then to accidents ... to driving here (accidents waiting to happen)... to the different ways we die. Or not, ie. bridge debacle.

ciao baby
