Quite a few replies, thanks for those. Appreciated. I'll try to respond to most.

Swede, you've got the name right there! I'll PM.

Hillbilly. Obviously you are right. Stupid inaccuracy there, I'm sorry. 15 USD or
so would be it.

Jrzyguy. Have a great time there, I hope it works out for you. That guy should be easy to find, or hard to avoid. They come for free, and are part of the attraction.. As for the Politur, I can't stand them, and though the father in "my Dominican family" is a fairly high ranking officer in the PN, I happen to hate them too. So I'm on my own.

Miguel. The irony, if any, was that I was actually on my way to the place
where I met my new friend, but changed my mind when I met him... As for
my BJ remark.. It was intended as a cheap joke to my friends, but as an insult to him. It worked!! Soft and subtle let downs didn't work on a guy who's
rhetorical tool kit consisted of "Pestering" and "Intimidation". In order to communicate and get the message across, it had to be done. Ignoring and pretending to not speak Spanish, French, or English etc work well, but then one also risk missing out on a lot. All in all, it was perfect.

As for the girl.. I can do a lot to help, and I will if it is wanted. However, I can't to overcome the surrounding mentality. Different topic, we'll see.

As for others stories, I suppose they are plenty, but I won't waste the bandwidth on it. Though unintended, my twisted take on things might come across as disrespectul towards people who are easily identifiable but who
after all are really nice...

Anyways, I'll sign out for now. Slán abhaile!
