Default Trip Report to the Dominican Republic

Hola everyone

I just want to share my trip with all of you. Have a good day.

Day 1

Arrived at the airport in Santo Domingo on March 26 at around 11:20am.
I got a rate of 32 pesos to the dollar.

After checking into the Intercontinental Hotel (Malecon area),
I went to a restaurant called “Villar Hnos.
This place is located at Av. Independencia No. 312.Esq. Pasteur, Gazcue Santo Domingo
Telephone: 809-682-1433/809-682-9121
Email: joslyvillar@hotmail.com
This restaurant does not have A/C. The windows are open.
The food is pretty good.

The picture below is what I ate with my friend.
The total came out to around 520 pesos.

This place also has a good bakery shop.

While walking towards the Colonial Zone (spelling?!?),
I had a cup of coconut juice.
It was 20 pesos.

Does anyone know what this is?

This is a nice place to hang out during the day.
This area has a large supermarket, many stores
(clothing, shoes, etc.), internet cafes, cafes, bars,
and many more.

I had dinner with my friend and his wife.
We went to a place called "Meson Beria"
Especialidad en comidas autenticas espanolas y criollas

The address is Miguel Angel Monclus No. 165, Mirador Norte.
Santo Domingo

Tel: 809-530-7200/809-531-7694

This place is quite fancy and a bit pricy.
My friend treated me so I do not know how
much it cost.

But the Shrimp with rice (in the picture below) is what
I had and that cost 750 pesos.

The food was very good. But the amount was a lot.
So if you plan on having soup or salad before having your entree,
then think twice about it. LOL
