hello just got off the helicopter about 1 hour ago and got a bunch of photos. I wanted to show marco before I headed back, but either he aint here, or I dont recognize him!!!! ha ha ha

anyway i got a bunch of the place from right over head. the pilot made 5 circles for me...I got some good photos even though that tree is in the way. We took the 1/2 hour ride and it cost $144 each. not bad and it was worth every penny.I took about 100 photos. We stopped at the POP airport to refuel, and got to walk up next to 4 mint vintage old us army -navy planes that just came in. We heard the tower for POP ask them"are you MILITARY!!!!! ha ha ha..they said NO! we are civilian!.. but the tower didnt believe them at first!!!! ha ha ha.because the planes are painted in military colors! Well I took some photos of the planes and asked one guy If my girl friend could climb up on the wing for a picture. he said OK..well she climbed up and kept on going and climbed right into the cockpit, just as the pilot says Whoa what are you doing!!"you could ask first!!!!!

i said we did ask! we asked the other guy...he said well its my plane...but he let it go and was real nice..and I got a picture of her in the cockpit

not bad for a young dominican girl from Moca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Ill just hide her in the back seat when they leave and sneak her home!

because there is little chance people get to walk around on the tarmack unrestricted!!!!!!! well got to go ..I keep getting pinched by you know who !!!!!!!!!!!! got a long ride through cabarete and the mountains. We hit a huge delay with some political rally on the rte 21 past tamboril!!!!! it took 20 minutes to go 1/2 mile

plus the usually holiday traffic in cabarette.

hello , I didnt post the pictures because i posted from rockys. and I need to store the photos someplace first, then I can load them . Alos I know this is the year 2006 but I am having troible with my digital camera when i download the photos.. they all leave the camera. So i am very careful when they load to my computer , that they are saved properly. Twice though the pictures stayed on the camera after the download...soooo there is a way on the camera to assure that when the phots download, they are deleted from the camera . If I ever find that in the instructions again...ill learn it and then i can download remotely if I need to. I just got home today so, Ill try to get some photos up somewhere somehow tomorrow.

ah my old friend tambo.....I have no idea what that stands for after republica dominicana....but I am guessing its gonna be sarcastic....and it wasnt quite that cheap! $144 EACH.......but as the DR goes that was a good bang for the buck.....JD...we took the same route back! and it got dark less than 1/3 the way into the trip!...plus there was a lot of traffic....I got a bunch of hard asssses on my tail so i tried passing everyone I could on the way up the mountain to shake them! they kept passing everyone too! least i made good time.. then I got behind a string of four pick ups loaded with people in the back when we started going down hill. I drew the line at passing like a maniac going downhill!...uphill is one thing in the dark down hill is another on that mountain road!.....2 cars passed me at the military station where they have 2 speed bumps in the road... they passed 5 vehicles there, BOTH the guys behind me! ha ha ha ha......its roulette , I guess for some people....other wise I wouldnt have seen so much crash news on the TV over the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heres one of her after she climbed into one of the old planes. I asked a guy with a flight suit if she could stand up ONTO the plane for a phot. he sadi no problem and helped her up...but she kept going and climbed into the cockpit while we all sat there with out mouths opens in amazment, until the guy who actually OWNS the plane said.."hey whoa whats going on...you could at least ask first"..but i told him ..I did ask the other guy!.. then he said ok no problem.

we were in a unigue situation, because we landed on the tarmac at POP to refuel the helicopter. and we got out to walk over to look at these four old fighters that had JUST landed before us. We walked around and talked. But no one questioned us! she was IN THE PLANE!...maybe she could have easily hidden for the flight out nof there!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha ha ha......easy visa OUT of the country!
