Trip Report to Santo Domingo

Here is my trip report. Enjoy!!!

Day 1, May 10th, 2006 (Wednesday)

I arrived at the airport in Santo Domingo.
I took the 6:30am flight out (American Airlines) of JFK
and arrived in Santo Domingo at 9:45am.
The flight arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule.
I got a rate of 31.75 pesos for one U.S. Dollar at the airport.

My friend and his wife greeted me at the airport.
We went to a restaurant in
Boca Chica called "Boca Marina"
This restaurant is located right next to Neptuno.

This was my entree. Its lobster with rice in some
kind of stew. I forgot the name of the dish.
But it was really good.



This is what my friend and his wife ate together.


The price came out to around 1,800 pesos.
You can also swim and sun bathe in this restaurant.

Day 1, May 10, 2006 (Wednesday)

I checked in at the Napolitano Hotel.
The cheapest rate was $83 per night.
This includes tax, breakfast, and one coupon for a free drink.

For a late lunch, I went to a place called "Fry and Grill".
The phone number is 809-534-2717/809-534-2796.

I ate here with two of my friends
and the price came out to around 1,800 pesos.

Mariscos, Ensaladas y mas,.....

Do I recommend this place? Yes I do!!!

I prefer Bon's over Baskin Robbins.
Baskin Robbins is too sweet. Bon's is just right.
But to each his own.

Later that night, I grabbed a bite at some burger
place that is located right across the street
from the Napolitano Hotel.
It was only 210 pesos for a burger and coke.

Day 2, May 11, 2005 (Thursday)

Drank, partied, danced, and got drunk.

There is a delicious Cake house near the Acropolis
Mall called Pasteleria.

This bakery shop has a variety of cakes,
sandwiches, coffee and cup cakes.
But this shop does not have buns and bagels.

This place is closed on Sundays.

Do I recommend this place? HELL YEAH!!! LOL







For lunch, I went to a place called Adrian Tropical.

Do I recommend this place?
Well, the food was not great.
It was just okay. But to each his own.

Day 4, May 13 2006 (Saturday)

For lunch, I was at the pool and I saw around
30 tourists heading to the hotel for a
lunch buffet at the Napolitano Hotel.
So I took some pictures of the food.












I went Hotel Conde de Penalba for a late lunch.

I went with my friend and the price
was around 1,000 for both of us.
The food was pretty good.
Do I recommend this place? Yes, I do.
