Bahia Principe May 2006
Hi all
I have just come back from my first trip to the Dominican and me and my friend stayed in the Bahia Prinicpe in San Juan for 2 weeks.
We had an amazing time and would recommend this hotel to anyone. All of the staff with the exception of the reception staff are friendly and always happy to help.
The food in the buffet restaurant is ok, although most of the food isn't very hot, they have three stations cooking food to your requirements at all three servings.
The resort is a bit far out so when you go on a trip you sometimes need to travel 2 hours to get there. To be honest though the resort has everything you need so that you don't need to go out of the complex unless on a trip. It is large enough and has loads of different activities that you can do.
My friend and I are in our 20's and yes we did meet the animation team that seems to have been talked about on here and spend time talking to them. We both speak Spanish which made this easier .
We did see lots of young (mainly Canadian) girls flirting with the boys from the animation team and following them round in the disco at night. All I can say to this is girls, go out there and enjoy yourselves, have a dance, kiss whatever with the boys. But please remember it is only fun, they don't want to marry you or stay in touch with you after you leave. They are a nice group of people but they just want to enjoy themselves. Just be careful and have fun!!!!
I will definatley go back again!!!
