Trip Report- Sept 2nd- 10th- GREAT TIME!.
I will be brief.
I got to SD early Sunday and some of the guys were waiting for me at the airport.
We ended up staying around 3 hours at the airport waiting for the others to arrive.
When everyone had gotten there, we went to get our rented SUV and headed, drinks and food on hand, to the Venta Gran Dominicus in La Romana/Bayahibe.
We had such a great time that almost everybody ended up staying more days than planned. Crap, Susan was supposed to stay for 3 days and ended up staying for 8!. That's how much fun we were having. Even I stayed a few days more.
Our daily routine consisted of: waking up, going for breakfast, staying by the pool or by the beach, drink, talk, walk on the beach, go to the restaurant for lunch, drink, talk, go to the room by 6pm to get dressed and go to the restaurant for dinner, drink by the beach or pool.
I must say again, that Resort is great. As I said the last time I stayed at this resort, those Italians women truly know how to dress elegantly at night. We had NOT on problem at the Resort. Everyone was treated very, very well. NOT one complaint.
By day 6, 4 had already left and the other 4 were having too much fun to even consider leaving. On day 6, Mom Elena and my brother Carlos had joined me and stayed at the resort for 2 days.
On Sunday the 10th, we headed to the airport and headed back home. We all made a stop in Florida and from there, we flew to our destinations: New Jersey, New York and PA.
Honestly, one of the best and most relaxing vacation I have ever had.
Btw, the ugliest animation worker/sankiette tried to approach some of us a few times. I remembered her from the first time I was there. When I told her that I was writting a report on sankies, all she said was: "y que e' eso?. My joke to her, everytime I saw her coming our way was to tell her "ven vamos a escribir ese reporte" (come, let's write that report). She would just smile, stop for a few seconds and move on. She can really dance a mean Salsa, let me tell you!.
Btw2: This time I did befriended a few Italian tourists whom we will keep in touch. Marco, Estella, Sofia, Maria(man, the girls were stunning and very easy to get along with). Great, great people!. Every time they saw any of us, they greeted us so happily. We are going to plan our next vacation at the same time, to the same resort. I can't wait.
And that's it!.
