Default a really stressful trip to the DR

I'll be curious to see if this entry gets deleted as well. My first entry, where I mentioned the horrible prevalence of sex tourism in the DR, got deleted almost immediately. This leads me to believe that only positive reports are welcomed.
We'll see.
I'll start with just a short entry to see if it survives.
the DR was beautiful, i went to Las Terrenas and Cabarate. And yet, it was really stressful.
I'll add more later, if this is not censored. And please, moderators, if you are deleting this, would you be so kind as to e-mail me to let me know what your censorship policy is? thanks.

If you had a problem with sex tourism in Cabarete or Las Terrenas, you must have been looking for something that you did not find. Thank heavens you did not go to Sosúa or Juan Dolio.

What on earth did you find stressful in those two towns?

I think the poster is a woman and she maybe she was upset with all the "goings on".

Just a guess.

I've never really heard of Juan Dolio as a place for sex tourism trade.

this site is has a lot of purposes, some of which effect some people lively hood. Thus constant negative remarks that have been hashed out over and over, get deleted, as they serve no new purpose. If you have new information or a story that hasnt been talked about wether it is positive or negative, will get air time I am sure. Also many times posts get deleted when two hot heads who have polarized hard headed views on the matter batlle back and forth. You cant seem to cut out the cancer without killing the patient in those cases.

I for one know for a fact that someone canhave a stressfull vacation is a beutifull country.

I dont know the subject of the stress...but I bet i could postan outline of a dozen POSSIBLE ways a vacation can turn into a stress nightmare.

does a candian couples problem jump to mind at all for starters?

lets hear it....if you say it and it gets deleted...it isnt any worse than if you didnt post it at all!!

Default understand the stress

I understand completely about the stressed part. we just returned from a two week trip and while we had a great time and there were many wonderful things to see and do, we did not feel as free as we normally do because of the constant "attention by men". Unfortuanately the sex trade does not limit itself to just the folks that want to participate. The mentality extends to the entire culture and makes it difficult - impossible in some cases - for young girls to go anywhere without a bodyguard. We travel quite a bit and my 17 year old daughter is very used to getting comfortable in a place and then venturing out to shop or eat by herself and practice her Spanish. She was unable to do this at all while we were there. Even in the small towns. Contrary to popular belief, this kind of attention is not a compliment and for women traveling it is indeed stressful.
