Smile Costa Caribe Coral Juan Dolio

Just got back from the resort. Went for the three day weekend, and I must say, it was very relaxing and enjoyable. Here is my report:

TRANSPORTATION: We took the taxi from the Guagua station at Parque Enriquillo. It was a nice guagua that dropped us off right in front of the hotel. The cost was only 90 pesos there, and 80 pesos back per person. I found the price very reasonable. The trip was about one hour.

PRICE for Hotel: The price was excellent. We found a on Expedia for about 38 dollars a person per night, all inclusive. I was very please with this price.

CHECK IN-CHECK OUT: The desk was very large and was organized very well, so check in and check out took us less than 5 minutes. There were plenty employees, so the procedure went smoothly.

THE ROOM: The room was average. We had AC, Hot water, and a nice bed...However the pillows left more to be desired. My friend thought they were straight from the Flinstones....in other words, they were like ROCKS. But the beds were nice, the room was large, and they service was nice. Even though the resort was full, we always had fresh towels, or more amentines when we called for them.

The BEACH: the beach was average, nothing spectacular, but nice. The sand was a little coarse, and there was a serious lack of shade; however, the water was nice, and there was plenty of places to relax. all in all, I felt safe there, so that was worth it.

The ENTAINMENT: The shows each night were COMICAL. I mean, I was not expecting Broadway, but they could have done a little bit better. The Casino was way too smoky, but the discotech was perfect. It was large, had AC, and played a vast range of music.

THE FOOD: As far as the food, I can only make one suggestion...EAT AT THE DOMINICAN RESTAURANT!!!! el Fagon was amazing. The atmospeher was nice, the food was delicious, and the service was better than a nice restaurant in the capital! the best part is that it was all included in the price!

All in All, I thought the hotel was about a 2-3 star...but for the price, I was very pleased!
