Tonight in Santo Domingo
Hello all, we made it to the DR. First, I want to say that we are sorry to hear about all the suffering caused by OLGA. Its sort of hard to celebrate when you realize so many others are having a terrible time on the island. Still we are so happy to be here.
Tonight, we checked into Hotel Mercure. Yes, the rooms are very small, but the hotel and staff are great! As we were checking in, a lovely lady brought us complimentary drinks. So, I'm filling out the paperwork, and sipping on a cocktail at the desk. Pretty sweet! Then we took a walk around the Colonial Zone and enjoyed all the people hanging out and having a good time. We ended up back at a street side table at the Mercure, sipping Presidente, and people watching. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Tomorrow, we head to Las Galeras. I hope I'm able to post some pics soon, and keep everyone updated on our stay here. So far, so great! Memphis j
