Please do make sure that your card covers your rental ( damage etc etc ) - if not make sure that you purchase the insurance at the time of the rental. I get a car once a month and my card covers the lot...last trip while in Charamicos I was backing off and I hit a small piece of concrete that busted the rear right stop light. When I returned the car I was asked to sign on the dotted line ( which I read and my wife made sure that they weren't adding things on to the claim ) so guess how much they charged VISA for it ? 900 hundred bucks
Like a good citizen I called Visa to tell them, hei it was only a stop light, but after 25 min on hold I thought, well F U, my time is more valuable, pay if you're stupid.
