I agree that there might not be an upside to the pics....my question was just why would that one be removed, since he had permission.

I too, rented a car, while there a couple of weeks ago, and didnt have a problem at all. It did, in fact feel I accomplished something by driving there. At times was scarey, but did ok. No scractches on vehicle anyway ...

Got to see lots of country side and little villages that others do not get to see. I took my co worker with me.....and she has never really seen things outside of the resort, so she was really happy to have spent a few days exploring. Maybe next time I can get her to not book an AI. Just dont think my chances are too good.

Stopped by your place Rocky.....but so happens you were not in that day. It would have been nice to met you.......maybe next time.

Rocky I would have to agree with you, that often things posted here do scare tourists, or first time visitors to the Domincan Republic. I have never had a problem in the few times Ive been (5 in total). In fact I have always felt respected and welcomed by the locals.

$180 USD from a company called EuropCar at the Puerto Plata Airport. The car was a four door Chevrolet Aveo with an automatic transmission.

perhaps we was just excited to meet her? i missed the pics. But there many people pics in the media gallery

I actually prefer pics of actual people. How many hotel and palm tree pics can you look at? I want to see photos of real life etc. THats why i like paul G's pics so much.

I must say tho..the only pic i posted MY friend he is wearing a snorkle and mask....tho i am sure he would have no probs posting him serving a great dinner.

The question is where are the other pics...the ones everyone here really wants to see...

BTW, she may not be someone...hmmm...how do I put this?...you may meet at church, let's say...but she does look pretty good.

I paid with a credit card and had no problems. And yes, I would recommend DominicanCupid, especially if you are fluent in Spanish. Without Spanish I don't think I'd have done so well because hardly any of the girls had decent English skills. I contacted a bunch of women there.

Had I gone to Santo Domingo instead of the North Coast (Sosua) I would have been able to meet a whole bunch of them during my trip, because the vast majority are from the capital. I will be going back again in July and I plan to fly into Santo Domingo.
