Talking Traveling from Santiago Airport to Punta Cana -Need combo bus/cab routes/times

We are landing in Santiago and want to get to our resort in Punta Cana, wanted to get to know the country so we want to take public trans and cabs. However, I can't find a map that's well detailed or times or locations for bus routes. Approximately how long is this journey. Keep in mind we will be stopping, chatting, eating, dancing - any suggestions on routes. Cheap to dos?

Well, first you need to take a taxi into Santiago and explore the place a bit.
the either a Metro or Caribe Tour to Santo Domingo. Then you go over to Parque Enriquillo and get a Bavaro Express out to Punta Cana.
If you take a day or two you'll be fine.
Santiago to Sto Dgo is 2 hours (+/-)
Sto Dgo will cost you at least an hour
Sto Dgo to Bavaro will take three or four hours depending on traffic and road conditions.
