Since Playa Boca Chica and Playa Andres are side by side if one is polluted, and that is well documented, then the other is too.
Just like the poor souls in Costambar denying that their water quality is questionable. If you walk or drive along the Malecon in Puerto Plata you can smell the horrible stench coming from the water as you approach the container port from the east. There's no denying that the water is polluted as not only can you smell it, and you can't miss the foul odour, you can see it as well much of the time.
Then if you care to notice the current you'll quickly see that it is travelling towards Costambar so it should be no surprise really that the water there is not exactly pure and pollution free!
