? advice re multiple entry visa

Does anyone know how i would go about obtaining a multiple entry visa to the DR, and would it be cost-effective? I travel back and forth from the states 5 or six times a year, and until now, I purchase a tourist card, and then pay, usually 300 pesos or so when i leave, as I usually overstay the tourist visa.
Would I do this at the Dominican consulate in the US, I believe there is one in Boston not too far from my home, or here in Santo Domingo? any suggestions?
