Default dominicans visiting turks and caicos

The official webpage for the turks and caicos only requires visas for visitors from former eastern block countries. Where do you find the prohibition against dominicans travelling there without visas?

I suggest you contact the office of the Turks and Caicos government in N.Y. 1-646-375-8830. I was told only a valid passport was required from the D.R.. It is very important that only correct information is disseminated through this website. If anyone can support an opinion with information from a higher authority, I welcome the information and the source from which the information was obtained.

I too want correct info in this forum so I just called that number and her immediate responds was , no they don't need a visa. I said are you sure a Dominican citizen does not need a visa? Yes again.

So I said please read to me where you are getting this info from because we are talking about people from the DR that might not be able to buy a ticket and then be refused entry. It's important to me that I have the correct info. So she put me on hold and then asked if the person is flying from the US

NOOOOOOO, I said a Dominican citizen with no other visa flying from the Dominican Republic. HER Answer, oh yes they do need a visa

I got her name, It's Florico Forbes, so she said.

You gotta wonder what they pay these people for.

Thank you both for your diligent inquiries. The lady told me during my second attempt to obtain the right info. that she previously thought the dominican was travelling from the U.S.. She also said that a visa can be obtained in about a day.
