I also have four stamps on my marriage certificate, but they are in the front of the certificate. Not sure with the police clearance, my husband just went and redid it.

I believe the stamps are to register the marriage in the books in Dominican Republic so they have a record that it did take place. Also When you come back to your country and you want to make it legal and change your name. I hope I'm right!! Correct me if I'm wrong.
