Default The cost of relocation

Hello Everyone,
This is my first time starting a thread so please help me if you can. For starters, I hope I am posting this thread in the correct place.

I have been reading about the timelines for a spouse or fiance(e) from another country to sponsor their spouse or fiance(e) from the Dominican Republic to arrive in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and other European Countries, but, I would like to know if anyone could share the cost involved with the timelines? I would like to receive responses from people that have applied from various countries so that this thread could help if possible.

I have seen prices for various document that cost $250.00(U.S.?) or $100.00(U.S.?) and it seems like these fees are paid more than one time for the same document if the form has to be completed again because it was lost or because it expired prior to the completion of the process.

I want to understand, approximately, how much money is involved with the process from start to finish if possible? Starting with the visa application, to the medical reports, the police reports(or is this form part of it?), the translations, (etc...) I know you can't put a price tag on the person that you love but this process seems to be really expensive.

Are there hidden cost that you are not aware of until you are in the middle of the process and it is too late to stop now? If the spouse or fiance(e) has children how much does that cost if the child comes with the parent?

These are just a few questions that I thought could be useful to someone starting the visa process. If anyone could add to the questions or answer the question please do so.
Thanks

I'll get this started and others can add to it.

For Canada in Canadian $

Sponorship application $75
principal applicant $475

accompanying family members
spouse $550
dependent under 22 years of age $150

RIGHT OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE FEE ( 22 years of age and up ) $490

Please fill in this part

Medical...
Police report....
translation of all documents into English
Marriage certificate
possible DNA testing for a child

Canada does not have a fiancée visa but we have conjugal, common law and same sex partners visas and they are the same cost as a spouse.

Not sure why you need this. When people apply it's all in the application form. You'll find more in the government site Fee schedule for Citizenship and Immigration Services
