International Students and Post-graduate Work Permits

Last week, Canada extended it's post-graduate work permit program to three years for international students who complete their studies in Canada. (Effective immediately) In addition, graduates can work outside their field of studies and they won't need an offer of employment in order to get the permit. This change is meant to attract more international students and to increase skilled immigration to Canada.

Students who complete an 8 month program can stay and work for 8 months.
