Well that's the first time I have ever heard that a medical is good for two years. If that's the case, why the hell did we just have to redo my husband's. Nothing this Embassy seems to go the way it should. I really don't think they know what they are doing there. Mart would be calling Mississauga and would be asking some questions regarding a medical being valid for two years. It clearly states that it is good for only one year. So did they make the rules up as they go. Cause I really would have loved mine to expire after two years. This is really staring to get costly. Crossing my fingers for you...

Maybe they are giving your husband an extention??
Hopefully this is a good sign and it is so that they don't have to put anything on hold and wait for new medical results and can finally issue the visa
I thought that once they recieved the medical resluts the visa would be issued, but it's not. After they recieve the medical they to the background check, clearance ect.... Does this ever end. That's the stage our application is at right now. They have been doing this for two months, how long can this take??? On May 10/08 which is Satuarday my husbands application has been in process for one year..... Just to give an idea of how Haiti has been working hard all year!!!

I understand your frustrations Castro, I mailed off our application in October 2006. Haiti didn't even start looking at it until April 2007. This has been one hell of a long road. When they do respond to me they just keep telling me that they will be finalizing our application soon!!!! Well I guess myself and Haiti have a much different understanding on what the word 'Soon' means......

thanks CAstro, now I am trying to find out what shipping company to use to send the documents to haiti or my wife could also deposit the documents in the canadian embassy in Sto. Dgo. but I am a little bit doubtful on that since I fear my documents could get lost and my wife wont have any receipts to prove she deposited the docs in sto. dgo

Hi caredbl84, My wife dropped off dropped off her police certificate at the Embassy in Santo Domingo, and Haiti got it with no problems. I know the feeling of uncertainty though, because they do not give anything saying you gave it to them. Most of the time when they requested documents from us, I had my wife Fedex it to me, so I can just confirm all documents were in order. Then I used Purolator with signature to send it to Haiti. Never had any problems. I'm sure if your wife takes both your documents to the Santo Domingo Embassy they will send it to Haiti, The woman will even tell you when Haiti will receive it, I would just mark every page with your case/file number, and follow up with an email after a week or so to make sure everything was received. They got back to me with no problems.

hey marxsis, thanks for the reply,

Well I would like to have her send the documents to me, but the thing is that if we use the canadian embassy in sto dgo I am afraid they might not want to accept all the other things we are seding on top of the birth and marriage certificate. my wife is sending a lot of love letters, cards, phone bills, phone cards, pictures, passport photocopies, certificate of selection, receipts of money send, etc.....so its going to be like an 8 pounds package or maybe 10, thats why I wanna use ups or dhl since fedex doenst allow people to send birth and marriage documents with them....

Carlos,
when we tracked our package with UPS and saw that it was delivered the website listed the name of the person that signed for the package. I copied that page into a word document and then had my husband send a message via the Haiti website indicating that he had sent the requested documents via UPS and uploaded the word document showing that it had been delivered and who signed for it.

Did you send any phone bills, phonecards, pictures and all that stuff when you sent the application in?
