Default Further twist to this problem

In the USA there is also one more turn in the road one should be aware of: A Dominican can get a visa to visit the US and STILL get stopped from entering the US right at immigration at the airport. It is in the hands of the immigration officer at JFK whether or not you enter.

This is also true in Canada, even with landed immigrant papers

The same turn in the road applies to Canada

I can't figure out how to add quotes so please read the three above postings.
In theory this is true that anyone at any time can be denied at any boarder.
But have any of you had someone turned away at the boarder of Canada who has a Vistors Visa?
I ask this question because a friend of mine is coming to visit Canada in July with a vistors visa and now it seems you are giving me something to worry about.
If anyone has had a friend from the DR denied entry into Canada after flying here who had a vistors visa please write and let us know what happened.

So you can worry more?? They are being stopped for a reason and that might not be applicable in your case. Get the visa first and go from there-what else can you do at that point?
Best of luck

I've never read about anyone being denied entrance into Canada if they do have a visitor visa because so few are issued and the person is screened ahead of time.

If you have a friend that holds a temporary resident visa to Canada let us know about it because like I said so few are issued to Dominicans.

Make sure that person enters Canada with a return ticket and has sufficient money, or money and credit card to maintain herself during her stay. If you are the one that invited her, be at the airport.

Default They do turn back

I get plenty of call often from CBSA asking to confirm gues has a resrvation
at the hotel that I work, how many nights and person are sharing the room.
honestly we confirm same information. Sometimes they call the hotel to inform that the person was not admited.

It is always good to travel with the person or wait at the airport when traveling to Canada but is not a big deal, what I know is Citizen, Resident, and visitor make the same line and treated with dignity and respect when it comes to Canadian Immigration officers at the airport.

Keep your faith applying for visitors visa never give up and if so the sponsor
your girlfriend in a way thats what they want to see how serius you are and willing to take responsability.

good luck
