Default National security check?

Does anyone one know how long it takes to do a national security check ? They did a background check, this is different. My husband worked for the police so they need to do further screening for his application. Has anyone ever had to do this before?

I don't know who is asking. I think it is Immigration Canada. Haiti sent my MP an e-mail with an update. Or it is standard procedure for the Immigration process, because he worked in the police force.

Well after all that, they never even did a national sercurity check on my husband. This is what MP was telling me, she also said that Haiti sent her a message saying it would take up to another 15 months to complete. The funny thing is the following week Haiti called my husband and myself to let us know that he had an appointment the folllowing week. In this whole proces I have learned that no one can be trusted, always keep your guard up. Even your MP. I think she just came up with that cause she was trying to get me not to call the office. She even had the nerve to say," rerally how long did you know your husband maybe there is soething he is not telling you" she is not there to judge me, she is there to represent me if I need any help. When my husband went to the appointment the lady from Haiti said it was only about the wrong year that was write one of the forms that needed to be fixed. So I really dont know where she got the info from. Then she has the nerve to say call me when you get back so I can tell her what happend. NOT, why should I after what she said to me. All I am trying to say is go into all this with your eyes wide opened, and trust no one.
