SJSantos is the only one that comes to mind right now but that was 2 years ago.

Here is her post

My husband spoke both at his interview.

I have posted before on this, but just a recap. I attended the embassy for the interview. I showed my passport and was allowed into the waiting area with my husband. When the immigration officer saw that I was with him she asked if I was the spouse. She then interviewed us separately.

Hope this helps.

Coco I wanted to add that there is no guarantee that the Embassy will allow you to be there. As always every case is different. You certainly will not be allowed in the room during the interview.

do you think it would be helpful to send your contact at the embassy an email to let them know you will be attending should they wish to speak with you or bring you in at some point?

She already knows cause when she called me, i told her that i was hoping to have the next interview to be able to be there with him. Now, i dont know if its the reason they gave us the interview before the letter arrive...maybe

Im wondering too, is it normal that they dont requested any document except of the passeport?

As Anna stated to you it was back in 2007 that I attended for the interview. So things may have changed. They did not know I was coming. I wanted to be there for support and I was lucky enough to be asked to go in and be interviewed. The immigration officer interviewed us separately. I went first into the boardroom. I was grilled about everything and anything. My husband was then asked to come in and I waited outside.

I brought all original documents with me to the interview. They did not ask Jose to bring them a head of time, but I did. The immigration officer reviewed all of them. I offered up his passport to her and she took it.

It's so hard to say what is being done now. We have just seen through these past couple of months some crazy things happening in the interviews and delays with other members here on the DR1. It sounds like they know you will be there for support.

Good luck!
Sandy

I will have the originals too en case of they want it and more proofs. I didnt redo the medical even if its expired cause some people got trouble with redo it before they tell us.
