I am getting married this august and bringing my spouse over to the U.S. what would be the correct steps and fastest to do this.... your input will be greatly appreciated??

Times have changed. Apparently a CR-1 is fast now. You can read the details in this thread Permanent Residency to US took 1 1/2 months!

I'll move you to the visa forum.
