Sorry about that, you are right, you need a Visa for Canada or Schengen.

Countries that are "easy" for a dominican to get a visa
I think a useful addition to this thread or maybe a separate thread would be a list or discussion of which countries Dominicans can obtain a visa to fairly easily without having a US, Canadian or European passport visa.
For example I have taken my Fiance to Brasil twice and we were able to get the visa fairly easily. Bank letter, afidavit from me that I would pay all expenses etc.
We did the same for Mexico this year.
I am thinking about a trip to another island in jan or feb. Trinidad and Tobago is one choice but would need to see how she can travel there by air.
I think Curacao and Aruba are relatively easy to obtain.
Montserrat doesn't require one but it appears flying through Antugua is the only way to get there. If a visa to Antigua is obtainable maybe we spend a few days on each Island and take the ferry etc.
I'd love to go back to Barbados and take the GF, but no consulate for Barbados in DR.
Jamaica would be cool as well, but getting there appears complicated.
we travelled via panama few days ago, no one asked for a visa. mind you, miesposo has a valid american visa - apparently that is enough...
a question: how would a domincan go about getting a visa to travel to india?
Via Panama and Entering Panama are two different things. She could not leave the airport while in transit. My post is accurate, Domincans need a Visa to ENTER Panama.

US Transit Visa? Pretty sure they no longer exist.
