congrats. Maybe being married for 7 years and having the two children helped your case; but whatever it was - its wonderful! Good for you and your children.

WELL WE MADE UP A VERY SAD LETTER EXPLAINING HOW THE CHILDREN CRY ALL OF THE TIME BECAUSE THEY MISS THEIR FATHER SO MUCH AND SO ON AND SO ON , SO THEY MUST HAVE GRANTED THE VISA BASED ON COMPASSION BECAUSE I TOO KNOW THAT VISITOR VISAS ARE BASICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET, BUT I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER I HAVE TO PINCH MYSELF EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES, BECAUSE IT IS SO UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

Hey i think that you all should try too, you have nothing to lose and maybe they are being more understanding because of the earthquake and the delays it is causing. My husband said that the embassy was full of haitians trying to get visas.

I was told that new applications are being accepted in Santo Domingo, but applications which were in process are still being handled in PAP. This is what I was told from Imm Canada here in Canada. Which makes no sense to me. AT ALL. He said they are working in the embassy in PAP under the condition it is currently in and as soon as all the Haitian family class applications have been completed, they will move on to the applications which were already in process.

What I am getting from this is that my husband's application which was in PAP will be done later than any new case that goes to Santo Domingo now. And he pretty much said yeah there is not much they can do about that.

Can anyone tell me for sure if they heard differently? I've called the office here in Canada & I called Santo Domingo but they both gave me the same impression.
