At 9:40 am, it is another hazy morning. City awoke to overcast cloudy skies, and lots of humidity. Looks like another hot day ahead. If it rains, these should be short showers to tell by the way the day looks like it will turn out.

All these days, weather in Santo Domingo has remained pretty much the same. Hotter days, no rain, and the drought is showing in the dry trees. Especially noticeable when driving by the Mirador Park, where many of the trees are now going leafless.
We have put away our jackets and sweaters and taken out the sleeveless tops for the past three weeks. But, to the relief of those of us who sleep without air-conditioning, most of the mornings the temperature has chilled off.
It could be that the sands of the Sahara are blowing this way and that would explain the haze in Santo Domingo, making for bluish gray skies.
Right now at 10 am would estimate it be about 28C.
Forecast is for a dry Easter Week.

Weather continues to be the same in Santo Domingo, with blue-grayish skies, cloudy, humid, but not blazing hot. There is a very light breeze keeping the hot heat at bay. Would say is about 28C.

Day started out early with blue skies, but quickly switched to overcast with lots of clouds. Feels like it would want to rain, but the weather people say that the conditions are such that it is unlikely it will rain for another three days. The country needs rain after this prolongued drought. There is a slight breeze and while quite humid, the day is pleasant. Would say about 28C.

Perfect weather today in Santo Domingo. Blue skies, scattered clouds. Light breezes. About 27C. Lovely.
Guess what? Last night around 9 pm it rained a little. Seemed like the first time in about two months.

Cloudy but lots of blue skies too. Temperature is 28C (82F). But in the early morning it had dropped to 24C (75F).
Kind of humid and muggy, but looks like another warm day for Santo Domingo.
When will the rains come?
The trees definitely need the rain.

Lovely morning. About 26C (78F) outside, should warm up to 28-29C (82-84F) today. Blue skies, the rain burst yesterday was a blessing.
