Yesterday, Sunday, was probably the hottest day in the year. Around noontime the thermometer of our car showed 34C (93F) outside in Santo Domingo. That's hot for Santo Domingo, folks. It was a sunny day, all day.
The good news is that it cooled off in the evening, with a pleasant breeze. And then it rained in the early morning. We has been occasionally raining, mostly in the early morning. Great to bring some green back to this drought-baked city.
The temperatures in the early morning dropped to around 23C (73F).
Right now at 9:30 am, it is 27C (80F) in Santo Domingo, but the day should warm up and we will experience most likely noontime temperatures of around 30C (86F) if not warmer. There is a wonderful breeze keeping temperatures pleasant in the city.
There is lots of haze, but blue skies and scattered clouds.

Yesterday and today the city has been bathed by breezes strong enough to slam doors. The breezes have been consistent. Weather is a pleasant 27C.
There are blue skies, but large overcast areas as well. Scattered clouds.

Started off very sunny this morning, but as the day has advanced (it is 9:37 am) there are more clouds. It rained before dawn, and the temperature is a pleasant 26C (79F) but humid.

Hot summer weather is setting in. It hasn't rained in days again. (Of course since I mention this here it may pour!)
Anyway, we have been having noon time temperatures in the 31C (88F), but evenings have cooled off to around 27C (81F) and early mornings drop to 25C (77F). So, so far it's bearable.
Hot for Santo Domingo means blazing sunny days of 35C (95F), about the worst it gets. Those have yet to happen. Not looking forward to them.
