Default Looking for Juanita

Juanita,

Please contact me by email at dolores@dr1.com

I will be away for two weeks and if possible, would like you to substitute for me posting the weather for Santo Domingo as frequently as you can.

Would be from Friday, 2 September, through 15 September.

Thanks.

D

After a beautiful blue day, it rained lots after midnight. Today, it has been hot and muggy, the result of a tropical wave that is coming over from Puerto Rico. So, we expect rain today in Santo Domingo.

Default Tuesday 13th.

Bit muggy today in the capital.

It's been threatening to rain all day, but have only seen lots of dark clouds.

The breeze is back today so the humidity has dropped, thank god!

It's 5.30pm and 28.7 degrees.

Big but short downpour this afternoon after a sunny and partly cloudy morning.

The rain is welcome. We look forward to it dispelling all the humidity.

Yesterday felt like one of the hottest days ever in Santo Domingo. I guess it was the humidity, that had everyone sweating.

Humidity today is reported at 70%.

Lovely morning today, after a pleasant evening. [You see, I sleep without air-conditioning (nor a fan) on a 6th floor so I know when there are breezes.]

The humidity today is 75%. This is enough for doing lots of sweating, but there seems to be a light breeze out there, so maybe it wont be unbearable today.

Anyway, blue skies all around. At 8:35 am, it is 27C (82F).

Lovely morning turned into an afternoon with a short rain shower, now cloudy skies and some thunder in the background.

At least it cooled the afternoon off. Humidity has dropped to 68%. Temperature is 30C (86F).

Very strong downpour last night that flooded the streets of Santo Domingo, again making evident why so many people prefer vehicles that are high up. If you didn't have a pick up or a "jeep" you would have been hard pressed to get through several flooded points int he city. It rained for about half an hour.

The evening latter was very pleasant making for a good night's sleep for those who do not use a/c.

This morning, am reading an 87% humidity on my Oregon weather system. The temperature right now is 80F (26C), lots of blue skies outside.
