Lovely day yesterday until around 7 pm when fireworks set in. We had quite a lightning and thunderstorm in Santo Domingo. Lasted about an hour.

This morning, Saturday at 11 am, sunny and pleasant again. Maybe there will be a short shower in the evening, but so far so good.

Lovely morning. Clear skies. Say about 28C (82F). May be a scattered shower, but most likely if it happens will be in the late afternoon, and just a few minutes.

Wednesday, 13 October. This morning it was sunny, albeit cloudy, but kind of sticky. The day moved into one of thunder being heard, and grey skies. Looks like short but intense rain showers for later this afternoon. It is 3:38 pm right now when I am posting this report.

Thursday, 14 October. 9:40 am. As mentioned in yesterday's post, it eventually did rain yesterday late afternoon, a short shower that cleared the way for this morning to be bright and blue, but pleasant. Lots of hours of sunshine today, with a temperature is around 28C (82F). At this point it doesn't look like rain, but these are the tropics, so of course we could have a short shower early in the evening.

Wednesday, 20 October. Yesterday there was a big shower in the late afternoon, complete with wind, lots of rain that passed in about 20 minutes. It made for a wonderful evening of about 25C (77C). This morning blue skies in Santo Domingo, about 27C. Looks like a good day.

Thursday, 21 October. Lots of blue in the sky, but also lots of clouds. Looks like a day when there will be a scattered shower or two, moreso in the latter afternoon. Right now it is hot for those walking around on the street, about 29C (84F), not a breeze anywhere.

Thursday, 28 October. Actually, all these days have been days of good weather. We have been blessed by a summer with very few hot days, and weather in the evening has dropped to temperatures that are pleasant for sleeping with the windows open -- no need for air conditioning.

Looks like another good weather day of blue skies, scattered clouds. Of course, always a probable short shower, more so in the afternoon.

Friday, 29 October. Perfect weather day yesterday, no rain at all. Wonderful cool temperature in the evening. Say daytime about 27C (81F) and evening down to 24C (75F).

Today, temperature is about the same. Looks like another good weather day. For the weekend, looks good too, with no tropical waves in the area.

Short shower this morning and now another again at 1 pm. City seems to be covered in the shower. Temperature is cool, about 27C (80F)

Shower was short but skies continue to be overcast -- lots of grey clouds around. And it is cooler. More at 25C (77F)

Yesterday, Tuesday, 2 November was an unusual weather day. In the city we had about three showers, lasting about 15-20 minutes, which is longer than the usual scattered shower. Evening was clear.

This morning there is blue in the sky, but lots of clouds also. Should be some more scattered showers today. The weather feels like about 25C (77F)
