Since early morning (about 4 am) it has been pouring in Santo Domingo. Lighting and thunder, too. There was a break at around 6 am to 10 am, but then at noon it is again pouring cats and dogs. Day for sancocho.
Temperature at 27C (80F). Hadn't rained like this in months.

Been unusually raining constantly all week long. Today at noon, though, the sun is shining, but the forecast is for another day or two of rain. At least the sun is out so there is time to dry the clothes.

Yesterday afternoon, short showers fell in Santo Domingo, cooling off the temperatures that had risen. Today, we are back to the wonderful Christmas weather. At 10:12 am, it is 26C (78F), with a light breeze and blue skies. The forecast for the weekend was for some showers, but will see.

It did rain. Right now it is raining and overcast in Santo Domingo (4:12 pm) after a sunny morning.

After some afternoon showers yesterday, the skies are again blue and the weather a wonderful 25C (78F). Forecast is for rain today, but we will take it by the hour again. It may or may not rain.

Best to all in the New Year!
Weather in Santo Domingo continues to be good, albeit we awoke to a cloud-covered sky, with lots of humidity, that has continued all through the early afternoon. Temperature of 26C at noon, which is just super for all of us. This has been an unusually hot December, although, we have had many days of 26-27C at noontime. But we haven't been seeing many of those 21-24C temperatures this Christmas. I suppose it is the result of El Niño being around the corner. Global weather forecasts are for a hotter year, with less short showers this year for the Caribbean.

Short rainshowers are forecast, but so far, as of eleven thirty it has been a good day in Santo Domingo, with a cool 25C (77F), breezes and blue skies with lots of clouds.
For the past two evenings it has been chilly in Santo Domingo with temperatures dropping to 21C.
