Well it rained all night and now at 8:30am it is raining again, all covered skies. I spoke with La Romana, to our east, and it is not raining there. Reading the Puerto Rico weather reports, seems the storm is past there and they are again expecting sunny weather, so there is hope that this thing will finally move on.

Praise the Lord.
Could it be finally on it's way out?

It's raining as hard as it gets right now at 4:30pm in Santo Domingo. This is quite a strong tropical wave. With gusts and all.

Stopped raining in Santo Domingo. The downpour lasted about 15 minutes.

Yes. I believe that road was always passable, at least by way of Navarrete. By Friday, the forecast is for good weather again.

Patches of sunny blue skies, early morning short downpour, but it didn't rain last night. Looks like the weather may just clear out today as the optimistic of us were hoping for. The tropical wave seems to have moved on. Pleasant temperature of 26C (78F) this morning at 9am.

The sun is doing its best to shine through the clouds today. The roads have dried up as we can observe from our 6th floor vantage point. There was a downpour this morning. There is a light breeze, many patches of blue sky. Temperature of 27F.
