After a very sunny morning, at 12:30pm, it is raining in Santo Domingo. Skies are completely covered. Windy, too.

After several days of super pleasant Christmas weather, with temperatures chillying off to 25-26C (77-79F) in the early evenings, we now are looking forward to some days of rain. Today it was all blue skies, with a temperature of 26C at noon.

Very windy this afternoon, probably reflecting the storm that is on the way.

hi D.,
we have the effect of that weather since last friday.
of course it been not be expected nor seen as a formation which can grow up to form a tropical storm or such, but since the 2nd last weekend we had only 3 days not above 15-20 knots of winds with the occassional showers here on the east coast. i still don't think that we will get a tropical or even subtropical storm out of invest 94L, but we for sure will get much more rain and thunderstorms out of it for tonight and tomorrow all day long.
we brouht all boats to their save places at the Cap cana Marina with crews on board 24hrs til at least tomorrow afternoon.
the Samana area and the north coast at all should be prepared for the rising of water levels on all rivers, but even the news on television showed that this noon, so no surprise.
good luck for everybody
Mike

Quite windy out there, and one can hear the howl, but otherwise, it is sunny. It is very cloudy, but lots of patches of blue sky all over. Rained some last night and a light drizzle in the morning, but nothing major yet. Temperature is at 24.6C (76F), which is chilly for us in Santo Domingo.

i think that can change later today Dolores,
the center of the tropical storm passed right over us, still raining most time of the day with high winds, shore is a s rough as i never saw it before, not even during the mayor hurricanes passing by.
the river/mountain areas should stay on alert, that little formation carries a lot of water. we got here on the east more rain than during Noel, but on the other side Noel passed far south of Punta Cana, Olga right above our heads.
at least this time the goverment alerted the public.
good luck to everybody
Mike

Chilly, 25C (77F) today in Santo Domingo. Cloudy, drizzle earlier, seems to be clearing up.

While there has been an occasional short shower, for the most part we are happy stupendous weather this Christmas. Blue skies, temperatures of 25-27 degrees during the day.

All I had to do was post that we have been having ideal weather, for the afternoon to turn into one short shower after another. This afternoon we have had a city covered by clouds, and it looks like more rain for the evening.

The good news is that there is good weather over Puerto Rico, so looks like the weekend will be good... or maybe I shouldn't dare say that!
