It was an incredibly gusty and rainy night. This morning, the rains continue at 9am, with the direction of the rain crisscrossed. Clouds moving west-east and rain coming down in all directions, indicating the irregularity in the area.

Muggy, light breeze, overcast skies. 28C (82F) in Santo Domingo. Saturday, it was all sunny until late in the afternoon when a light drizzle fell. Then in the evening, early morning it rained. But nothing out of the ordinary.

Woke at 4am to a major thunder and rainstorm. It's almost 7am and it has been raining strong since. Lots of thunder and lightning. Same thing happened yesterday and it cleared up with day break. Let us hope the same happens today. This is a result of a tropical wave that has moved over from Puerto Rico.

Hasn't sleep well due to the thunderstorm, I have counted no less than 25 lightnings loud enough to wake me up.
