h Dave,
yes, it is true, the east coast had the better weather thsi time than many other parts of the island.
Hispaniola is a huge island, the 2nd biggest one of the caribbean with very different structures at different locations, so we have different weather conditions at different areas, like Miami does not neccessarily face the same weather conditions like Jackson Hole Wyoming.
right now sunday morning niv 4th 10:30AM we have in Punta Cana
* temps 85F and climbing
* winds on 5 knots max
* inshore waters flat
* offshore waters on quiet les than 3ft
* no cloud, just pure sunshine since early morning
* wind direction is back to it's usual side, from the east
no weather change expected for the next 48hrs
if it rains the showers are short and earaly morning or nighttime, and always just partly, not for the whole area.
have a pleasant stay
Mike

Default any update?

Hi Mike,

Any change in the weather? Is it still nice, warm, and sunny? No rain?! I'm still a little worried because all the forecasts still say rain and clouds!

p.s. we are staying at the grand palladium

right now:
winds on 5knots ENE
temps only 80F
no sun, it's completely dark
at least it is not raining Jill
Haaaahahaha
got you
what i wrote above is the truth, and it is 9:10PM tueusday evening, we had a very hot day, no clouds around tday on the south Punta Cana side, i spent most time of the day at the Marina aand worked in the cabin to use the aircondition, too hot in the shadow up on the bridge.
we will have an other sunny day tomorow, very sure an early morning shower, but too short to cool the temps really down.
we do not expect a big change for the next days. short showers will be more likely over the upcoming wekend, but also partly, so not every area in Punta Cana will get it's needed water.
have fun
Mike

hey Jill, your countdown clock is running out of time now.
still no winds, flat inshore and quiet offshore waters, temps in the high 80's.
the only daytime rainfall been yesterday for around 10 minutes in the bavaro area, and only there, the punta cana side been dry.today it is comfortably a bit cloudy, no rain, so it is not too hot for those who have to work outside.
i expect some more clouds over the weekend, short showers in the early mornings, full sun back by monday, you will need your best sunblocker every day anyways.
have fun
Mike

thursday 15th we have a kiddies-league ballgame running, no need of rain, so it will be dry and sunny, beers for the "Coach" have to be P-light and ice cold, expected temps late 80's, winds less than 10 knots from the east, just partly cloudy and NO RAIN please.
