I'm travelling to Natura Park, Bavaro on 29th Sept. However, on this website and in an email from the actual hotel I have been told that it is not open and will not reopen until 1st nov.

I rang the company I'm travelling with and they STILL insist that everythings fine and that they're still sending people to that resort !

I've really been looking forward to this holiday cause it's my last chance before I start full time employment (just graduated from uni)
Everything I've read on several sites have Natura closed for structural damage. You may have to change resorts.

Default Riu resorts in Punta Cana

I have been advised by the hotel that all is okay, but I am getting concerned by the conflicting posts. Any word on the Riu complexes?

I'm going to the Riu Taino on 10-1. Everything I heard was that the Riu's were OK, but had problems getting there with the roads for the first few days after the storm. I'm booked with Apple. They cancelled all trips until this coming Monday, September 27. I hope everything is OK. If anybody knows anything specific about the Riu's, please let us know.

I received this message from the Riu Naiboa on Tuesday, September 21, 2004. I hope it helps.

Dear Bobbie,

We did have some damage but we are now working normaly. We are just waiting for the tv cable te be reset.
There is still some water at the entrance of the complex but it goes down very fast.
as far as we know there is no association to help the victims, some guest just give some clothes or 1st necessity stuff to the staff to help their family.

Best regards,

Hotel Riu Naiboa

Default flights from toronto cxl

Hey there

All Punta Cana flights departing from Toronto on Saturday Sept 25 have been cancelled.
My flight leaves next Saturday Oct 2.
I heard that the airport in Punta Cana was operating normally and now I found out that tomorrow's flights are cancelled that worries me for my travel next week.
Anyone here from Toronto and wondering about the same problem?
Diana

Hi to everyone in the Punta Cana area

Hopefully arriving on Thursday of this week - still do not know where I am staying or whether the Flight will actually leave Gatwick due to strike actions however, keeping fingers crossed now

Can anyone give me an update on the weather for the area?

Many Thanks
Stewart
